Vabhи se mai mi capitasse tra le mani l'estrattore di modelli per crisis core ben venga. Cmq sia, anche se non ho Crisis Core, Sephiroth и stato ripreso da Kingdom Hearts 2 ma ho dovuto ridisegnare un po i poligoni per trasformarlo dalla versione classica di Kh2 a questa:

No no come io e Arc qualche giorno fa ci siamo detti, questa mod appena avrт finito con Sephiroth, devo ancora fare il battle, sarа rilasciata come versione 1.0 al pubblico, ma con delle restrizioni che saranno concordate successivamente. Cmq appena ho finito aprirт un topic a parte dove ci metteremo d'accordo e sceglieremo tutti insieme un nome a questa mod. Midgar Rebuilding и solo provvisorio.

Ho dei problemi tecnici, quindi per ora и in stallo, ma appena ho risolto i miei problemi posso farvela provare nell'immediato, anche se voleva dare degli ultimi ritocchi.

Ho appena trovato questo forum e sono interessati a questa nuova project.I sono uno studente di scambio e io sarт il soggiorno in Italia per un periodo di sei mesi, in modo davvero non voglio essere in grado di fare qualcosa di speciale durante il mio tempo qui. Sono un fan di FF7 e buona a FF7 mod utilizzando programmi come Kimera, Biturn, PCreator, Lgptools e tali ... Ho cercato di fare alcuni modelli, e si puт vedere qui se siete interessati:

Come potete vedere, i modelli sono modificati con il solo Kimera e, pertanto, non sono buone come quelle che si stanno compiendo. Perchй sono molto interessati a questo progetto, posso unisco il team di sviluppo che sta facendo questo progetto? Il mio italiano sta migliorando e posso capire la maggior parte di ciт che lei dice.

I'm working on this project on my own but i got my laptop broken and i need a new battery charger so i'm stuck now.
All my work is inside that laptop so for now i cant go on with it.
Youre italian is pretty good and i understood what you said completely.
Youre cid, cloud and sephiroth model are really good, you used the original models right? but modified and colored with kimera. About cloud and sephiroth, at the beginning i used to create them with wings but while thinking i noticed that wings have no animations so it appears really weird, so sephiroth and cloud are what they are now. I have to fix sephiroth in battle and something on field, but in complexion they all are good.
My work is similar but i'm using different models, the ones of kingdom hearts, modified and re-worked in 3dsmax, and combined and fixed in kimera.
Anyway if you wanna work on this project, i can give you some information if you need. But i can't share my work for now because of the laptop sad.gif

First of all, I just want to say that I am soooo happy that you guys can talk in English laugh.gif , this means that we can fully understand each other. However, I am ok with you guys writing in Italian because this is an italian forum and I also want to improve my Italian. I am currently living with an Italian family ( i am a homestay student ) and the son of the family can help with stuffs that I dont understand. Beside I did study spanish for a year ( which is somewhat similar to italian ).

Okay so let's talk about the models. Bringhate you are right cool.gif , I only use parts from the original and re-edit them into kingdom hearts style. Like you, I also want to make the models with parts from the Kingdom Hearts models but the thing is, I dont have 3D Max sad.gif . I used the trial version and it already expired. So now I am also stuck lol because I have the 3ds file of the models and the textures but I cant edit them and draw uv chords to apply the texture. However, I think I am good at the other FF7 tools like kimera, pcreator and lgptools. I can also edit the flevel.lgp if this patch requires any changes in texts ( i know my italian sucks but i can do it biggrin.gif ) and the kernels. I will be very happy to help you guys with this project wink.gif

You can modify both the kernels? Good, about KERNEL.bin, because i didn't work on that since the crash of the battery charger, i cant remember everything but everything i got is written on notepad in a file, just in case of something happens (like this XD).
I used to modify the KERNEL.bin with a hex editor, changing values or simply moving pointers, just like my vincent mod. But now someone created a tool for KERNEL.bin named Wall Market , is almost complete and you can do easily nearly everything you want, however i didn't try this thing yet, but it appears really good, let me know if this can help.
Anyway if you need something else just post hear.

Xabaras: Es muy bueno saber que usted entiende completamente espaсol laugh.gif , pero hay muchas cosas en italiano que yo aъn no entiendo de manera tal vez si hay algo que usted no entienda me pueden escribir en espaсol cool.gif

Bringhate: Si si, Wall Market e un grande programma rolleyes.gif . Basiclly it can do everything ( except swapping limit breaks biggrin.gif ). It is so useful that now you can make a weapon equipable by every character ( even sephiroth ). Here is a screenshot if you wanna take a look at :

It can also change the Weapon ID and weapon sounds, which means that now it is possible to duplicate a weapon ( now cloud can use masamune sword with the correct stats of the masamune sword and hit the enemy with the sound of sephiroth ). So unless you wanna swap the limit breaks, the hex editor is not needed anymore xD.

So I have taken my time to look around some threads in this sections and I found that you are doing this project with 5 other beta testers ( will now be 6 cool.gif ) and you are also changing the avatars as well. About cloud's hand error in battle, I think it is because you use cloud's left arm and replace it with the right arm and rotate 180 degree using kimera. Im not sure about this but I need the model to check them. I know that your laptop is broken but is there a chance someone else can send it to me? If not then thats ok, I can do the avatar change for you instead. I can convert the pictures posted by Legend into 256 color bitmaps without losing color.

About cloud's arm i fixed it already so it is ok, about the avatars instead, i was waiting for Ravi our pixel artist (now in the middle of tgca project) to make some good avatars from dirge of cerberus and advent children.
Reading that post you also noticed that i cant do that for the problem i told you, anyway i think is better to start creating this avatars, if you want you can do it yourself and thx, but post some screens so we can start thinking about fixing the background of the avatars from black to white or someone else.
Ah right i almost forgot, i want to change completely or until it is possible the menu windows and cursors, and together with the summons, i was thinking about changing the textures of spells and attacks (if i remember correctly this ones are stored inside magic and battle.lgp respectively) and magic attacs are modeled too so that will need some time, about the phisical attacks and gun shots, they all are simply textures 256 colors, and for that we need to use some basic painting program, even paint itself can be good.
Anyway when i can resume my work, my first goal is to finish all possible characters and summons, then the menu and finally all miscellaneous. I was working on the save point too, i created it from scratch but was easy enough with blender, even if i used to give some fix on it too in 3dsmax. For the save point i was thinking about something better, but we will think about it later.
Ah yeah try using blender, is totally different from 3dsmax (i cant use it good yet) but is freeware, so maybe you can check it out.
I want a new battery charger!!! sad.gif

bring, if you are talking about doing all the possible models, u mean something like this biggrin.gif or just the main characters ( cloud,tifa,aerith,yuffie,cid,sephiroth). I think for the first version we will just do the 6 main models.
also have you done the aerith model ? if not then maybe i can give a try ( i just downloaded blender and it seems good )
about changing the summons are we just changing the textures or we are changing the body parts as well?
and yea i will post some screens with the new avatars as well, probably tomorrow, for today im busy tongue.gif

Its basicly a completely conversion of ff7 models into KH models. The guy who made this did not finish all the models and he gave up because too many of his models make strange animations during the game and it crashed too often. laugh.gif

mm, in fact replace all the model looks too laborious to me (for many reason), considering the fact that some (for example Seifer, Squall, etc.) are "outsider" in the world of ff7

same thing for the summon.....it will be great to see a ff7 with complete npc and the primary characters in ps2 style, wich is basically (if i am right) the goal of bring mod

I know this mod but i don't like what the guy did, i think was anyway ultima espio that i know on msn. The idea is good, is what i wanna do in the end. but this work was made too fast and with characters that are nothing to do with FFVII, just like sora, riku, pain ecc.
My model of cloud is slighty different because i don't want to just put models into the game, but i want to make it customized.
Where i can customize, i'll do it. So i created my sephiroth and cloud or Tifa. Well theire not pretty good really, but the fixing phase needs to come.
Xabaras was right, i want to achieve that goal, but, oh well.., needs some patience ^^.
FFX has a good Shiva that i want to make nearly like the one of FFVII, Ifrit, well for Ifrit, i want to modify the texture and a little the model, to make it similar to the one of FFVII as well. Well guys, now let's throw ideas then we will think later of what is better to do.
For Aeris, i'll take the one from KH in pure form and i will add the jacket, let's see if i can create one from scratch and create/apply a good texture for it.
Anyway i'll think about this later, i'll try if i can work on small things from hear while i aint the laptop.

okay so i woke up at 6 today and tried to convert the models from KH1 to FF7 using blender and pcreator. There is a problem long before this, when i was ripping the models using 3d ripper dx, the textures seemed to have lost its original colors:

I dont know what im doing wrong here, did you have the same problem like this when u ripped the model?
However I tried to apply these textures using blender ( really good program ) and finally got cloud's head into pcreator. I imported them into pcreator and converted the head into a .p file and 3 new textures file. The head showed up in kimera with all the textures but when i created a new battle.lgp and tested in game only the face textures showed up while the hair textures didnt. So a little help here?

well is eeasy enough, take your model, load it up into your viewer, capture it with 3d ripper dx, convert the textures in .bmp , load up your model inside a 3d editor program (such as blender, maya, ecc.), map your model with the textures, save it as 3ds file, open up it with p creator, fix the uv mapping there, save the file, import it in kimera and then complete the importation.
The white hair is because you didn't apply the texture of the hair onto the head, if you notice even your broken texture of the face hasn't the hair texture there wink.gif
Anyway i shall write a tutorial for everybody, without let you spend your time in learning this, i shall write an easy one, with screen. Do you prefer an italian one or an english one? ^^

Well bring i think you didnt get my point tongue.gif . I already dumped the model and used 3d ripper dx to rip off the frames and textures but the thing is that the textures that i got are messed up with the colors, i got a texture like this

As you can see, the skin which are supposed to be orange-like turned out as blue, while the eyes which are supposed to blue turned out orange. It seemed like the color reverted or something.
Anyway I would still prefer a tutorial, and I am ok with Italian cool.gif

But i was thinking, well... how can i do a tutorial now? if i dont have the programs and the things to use? O_o I forgot lol that i have nothing on this computer. Well i shall find a way out.
Anyway i understood your problem, that reverse color is strange uhm i never really had that problem, but i continue to say that you haven't put the hair skin on cloud, i remember there are 2 texture blocks for the head. One, the one you got - the face and two the hair.

nevermind me, i figured out my problem, it was because i used the biturn program ( a jerk in qhimm told me to use it ) . I downloaded the dds converter and the color is normal now. However, I still have trouble with resizing the head. The front seems ok, but width of the head seemed a little bit small. The problem is if i make the width bigger then front face gets smaller sad.gif

Also, how do you view the battle model with the weapon, I cant seem to get cloud to hold the buster sword.

You cant, if you want to model a weapon correctly, you just need to add it to the bone of the right hand, you will se for example the buster sword will be 90' angle turned away from the original position, just put your model in the same angle as the buster sword in kimera, and you will have a good in battle buster sword.
I don't know if it was clear enough to understand, but this are all tricks that you must get trying.
The resizing part is the hardest part, you need patience for it.
